Jane Austen Dance Workshops
Thanks to all of you who joined us for our Dance with Jane Austen workshops in April and May. These evenings were especially fun because so many new dancers attended and shared the enjoyment of English Country Dancing. Watch this space for notice of more Special Events this autumn. In the meantime, please join us at our regular weekly dances.
We dance every Wednesday except in August. Our repertoire includes dances popular in 1650 all the way up to dances written this year. Some are elegant, some rowdy, some romantic, some playful. Each dance has its own tune, presented by our splendid live music.
Please come on any Wednesday to experience this exciting dance form. New dancers should plan to arrive by 7:30. Our expert leaders will teach you some of the easier dance figures so that you can join in when the regular dance starts at 8:00.
You don't need to bring a partner. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and flat shoes that won't skid or stick on a wood floor.
